Garret Ransom PMHNP-BC

*Virtual and In Person*

Garrett earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University and his Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. He spent time working inpatient units as a nurse and a nurse supervisor before becoming a nurse practitioner.

He is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and holds a DEA license in both Maryland and Virginia. He has experience in acute inpatient psychiatric treatment, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, residential treatment centers, and outpatient psychiatric care.

Garrett believes that psychiatric care is a team effort that requires both the nurse practitioner and the client to work together for best outcomes. Through active listening and a deep understanding of mental health barriers, he can develop a treatment plan tailored to each client. He was born in North Carolina, raised in Florida, and now lives suburban Washington, D.C. with his wife and son.
