Jason Manning-Beekman, EdD, LCPC,
(He, Him, His)
As a therapist, I have had the great privilege of partnering with countless individuals as they walk their healing journey. This has led me to practice in all levels of care from outpatient community practices to psychiatric crisis stabilization hospitals. In each of these settings I have been able to see the beauty and diversity of the resiliency that each person possesses, but sometimes loses sight of due to the hardships of life. My job is to help you disrupt unhealthy patterns, develop greater insight, and strengthen the unique skills you already possess to facilitate change and reclaim resiliency. These skills will open up your perspective, allow you to find purpose in your pain, and eventually allow you to reframe and reclaim your life story.
My clinical approach is a mixture of deep appreciation for evidenced based practices applied in a way that is practical and respectful to each individual’s unique needs and beliefs. Together, we embark on a collaborative process that unveils your path to the best version of yourself. I’m a firm believer in leveraging a network of disciplines, theoretical models, and professionals to equip you with a comprehensive toolkit for achieving your goals. From Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I draw upon a spectrum of therapeutic orientations to shape our sessions. Additionally, my approach incorporates a deep respect for the unique and layered experiences of marginalized communities. I always do my best to listen and stand as an ally in lifting and appreciating diverse perspectives and supporting equity efforts.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family/friends, volunteering in my community, and exploring all the best brunch places in my area. I am a Virginia native with a huge heart and love for Maryland and the greater DMV.
