Emily is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She is initially from Front Royal, Virginia. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, Virginia as well as her Master’s Degree in Nursing. She holds over ten years of nursing experience. She has held many diverse roles such as being a CNA, an LPN, an RN, a BSN, and now a PMHNP-BC. She has held previous roles as an urgent care nurse, a clinical coordinator, a skilled rehabilitation nurse, a long-term care nurse, preop/pacu nurse, a Covid nurse, and a psychiatric nurse. She also has experience providing interventional treatments such as ketamine.
She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services across the lifespan. She has worked in many different settings to include outpatient clinics, detox stabilization, medication assisted treatment programs (MAT), and acute inpatient hospital crisis care.
Some of her practice specialties include (but not limited to) PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Substance Use Disorders, ADHD, Mood Disorders, and Insomnia.
She believes in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, lifestyle-modification, vitamin supplementation, interprofessional collaboration, previous experience, and evidenced-based practice.
When not in office, Emily enjoys spending time with her significant other and their son. They have two dogs, two cats, and a lizard. They enjoy traveling to different parts of the world and attending various concerts.
